Learn how to make traditional Sri Lankan hoppers in style, then savour your creations as you eat your very own hoppers, accompanied by delicious authentic sambols & curry made by myself from traditional family recipes! A buffet of hoppers, sambols and curries…and for dessert why not try making milk hoppers, whilst washing it all down with some Ceylon arrack cocktails. What more could you want!

The class will include:
Welcome cocktail: Ceylon arrack cocktail provided on arrival.
How to cook Sri Lankan Hoppers: learn how to prepare the dough, ferment it, and make the batter. Learn how to cook the perfect crispy egg hopper, plain hopper, or milk hopper, using a specialist hopper pan.
Time to dine: enjoy a Sri Lankan hopper buffet: eat your hopper creations, plain, egg or milk hoppers, as many as you can make, alongside Seeni Sambol (sweet onion & chilli relish), Pol Sambol (coconut & chilli relish) and Devilled Potatoes (potato curry) made by myself from traditional family recipes. They’ll also be more ceylon arrack cocktails available to buy at the bar!
Cook it at home: you’ll get to take home full step by step cooking instructions. And if you’re super keen use our exclusive 10% discount card to purchase one of our Hopper Kits, or hopper pans on the day, so you can cook hoppers at home with ease!
