About the event:

A standard ticket includes a lunch bowl by Hop & Roll and Pol Boy which will be served between 1-3pm. Hop & Roll will be serving her legendary hoppers made fresh on-site alongside a selection of curries whipped up by Pol Boy.

Paradise will also be joining the party, providing a selection of short eats (Sri Lankan snacks). Paradise's restaurant in Soho has won acclaim for its contemporary ingredient focused cooking with a fiery island accent.

Lunch will be followed by a line-up of music and performances curated by Seth De Silva with acts including nangi and Nush confirmed on the line-up with more to follow. Watch this space!

Tickets will also include entry to a raffle with prizes ranging from a meal kit from Kolamba to a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue, a personalised spice jar by Mali Perera, goods from Serendip Crafts, and a private meal for two cooked at your house.

Before lunch, guests can opt to join Mehala Ford, Founder of Friday Sari Project, on a journey of exploring sari. Mahela's 'Learn to Drape' workshop will teach how to use the Sari as a modern day garment, incorporating personal styling and expression. You can learn how to drape a basic sari, modern sari looks, and more. You can bring and work on your own sari if you wish to, although we will have saris available to borrow. You will be draping on yourself so it is advisable to wear comfortable clothes during the workshop.

For those late risers on a Sunday, there will also be the option of a post-3pm arrival. This ticket will provide entry only so you can have an afternoon boogie with tunes being played by the incredible line-up of DJs and musicians. The full set list will be revealed during the week of the event.

About the charity and cause:

A survey published in March this year by Save the Children shows that half of Sri Lankan families are reducing the amount of food they give their children as the country continues to experience a hunger crisis.

100% of the profit made from ticket sales will go to Community Meal Share. Community Meal Share is a collective that aspires to bridge the gap between the privileged and underprivileged in Sri Lanka. They deliver warm, cooked meals to vulnerable communities to support them during the ongoing economic crisis.

Resilience: Recipes from the Sri Lankan Diaspora raised 500,000 Sri Lankan rupees which provided 1700 meals to a community of 130 people. £15 goes a long way so your money will help to make a huge difference for vulnerable people in Sri Lanka.

Let's eat, let's dance!
